To each their own. Everyone can have incredible experiences, and they happen in different ways. There are physical rushes and there is also crazy shiat that happens that crosses the barriers of physical, emotional and spiritual.
By hiking trails I mean a week in the desert with no contact with civilization and everything on your back. After a couple days you leave the narrow perspective that is all around us and your mind begins to work a little differently.
