If I were you, and I'm not... I'm me... I would make this a 4 team map (oh it is...) but I would have 2 teams spawn in the blockfort... and I would have 2 teams spawn in the mulch arena.
Right about now you're going "WTF are you talking about this isn't mulch" and right about then, which is after now, I'm going "No it isn't but it should be both." And then you say "Why? WTF are you on?" and I say "People want a map where they can dm in an arena and dm in a mixed atmosphere". Oh, and make multiple mulch arenas cause who wants to host a 20 person server with one arena supporting 2 players? Get on it! |

Doughnut-4|4-: when i understand you right (my english is pretty poor) you want a map wich is a kind of mixed mulch_dm and soldierarena ?
my intention was to recreate the look and the feel of sa_blockfort. and i think that is what i did with this map maybe later, when i got a little bit more familiar with the source engine (this is my first mapping attempt on source) i'll make a map like you described. @jesse: and hopefully this one will be a little bit more worthy to the power of the source engine. |

Ya, I'm just tossing out suggestions in jibberish. Good Job on the map. Looks pretty sweet. I considered making it but ya know time is hard on us mappers, and I knew someone would do a great job sometime.
Some people want updated graphics, but it's really hard to do on such a simple map. It's like a conc map... functionality before beauty. What I hope for is more arena maps so that we can get a DM server along with a CTF server and so on... I also hope the DM maps aren't limited to certain classes on the whole. |
