Exclamation £70 MAX Headphones Recommendations Please

I started an old thread a while back but I can't view it ("Content Encoding Error") and I didn't get any that time. So i'll start again...

Budget £70 - $110.59? - EUR 83.19?

Use:
-Games.
-Moves.
-Music.
-General Use.
-I'll be using them 99.9% of the time I'm at the PC.
-I don't have a sound card. Onboard audio. 2/4/5.1/7.1-channel
-I wear glasses.

With mic preferably, but I don't mind a separate mic if that means better headphones.

I am willing to spend £70 even though that's quite a lot for me,so if I don't have to spend that much please suggest cheaper but good alternatives.

2 online friends have these: SteelSeries Siberia V2 FullSize Headset with Microphone (won't let me link to amazon) http://www.amazon.co.uk/SteelSeries-Siberia-Full-Headset-Microphone/dp/B002Q8IHDQ

It's what I use. If you don't like them, then buck up and just pick a pair and buy it already.

Here are some reviews (and user comments) you might find helpful:

Personally I have Sennheisers which are extremely comfortable.

I prefer the 5Hv2(or the new 3) compared to the siberias (can't say for the new Elite version). The plastic on the siberias feels a bit cheap especially with its pieces that arent completely solid.

I loved the 5Hv2 when mine was working, but as with most other gaming headsets, the worst part was the fact that it had a cable. After about a year or so of use, the cable broke on me and although I got a replacement, it broke after about 6 months of use. Since then, I've stopped shelling out $ for wired headsets.

I currently use the Corsair Vengeance 2000 Wireless headset:
http://tinyurl.com/pkr8tml

I know it has some shitty reviews, mostly regarding the ear pieces that can break over time, but I've had mine for over a year and a half now and have had 0 problems with it. Plus, it's wireless and even though it boasts 7.1 surround and is not the best sounding headset, it's perfect for gaming and listening to music. The range is also not as good as other wireless headsets I've owned, but they're definitely more comfortable than anything I've used other than the 5Hv2 Steelseries pair I once had.

This review put me off

He mentions that the Plantronics sound better. I have the very cheap 380's and I was not impressed. They sound wank. To keep the prices low I assume most cuts are in build quality because they're so plasticy, flimsy and a lint magnet, as seen here:

Another thing to consider just looking at those 2 videos is comfortability. The Siberia ear pieces look plasticy/rubbery that probably don't feel very nice on your ears as opposed to the bottom video where the ear pieces are made of softer foamy material

Are you interested in accurate sound or enhanced sound?

For accuracy on a budget Fostex T-50RPs are amazing. I've had a set for over 10 years, never let me down. They're studio phones so no mic.

A bit late now but I'd recommend sennheisers (it got posted earlier too). I'm using a pair of HD 201s, fairly cheap (I think 40 bucks?), sits nicely on the ears, good quality, and durable.

Basically buying "gaming" headphones/mics is kinda a sham because a lot of the stuff that's labelled as such is just poor quality product that's advertised as better. If you're comfortable with a brand, go for it, but if you're not sure don't go for the super expensive stuff. I've had a cheap $15 pair of headphones last me 5-6 years before while I've had plenty of $100 and up sets break within 3 months.

I cancelled them before they were dispatched.

My bad for titling the thread "gaming". The HD 201s seem a good choice. The Fostex t50rp are out of my budget.

Wow they're expensive in the UK. They're $107 here in the US.

Someone suggested these:

I would recommend the Roccat Kave! Is a 5.1 surround sound headset from Roccat (Gaming company, think Razer but german and better built). Can be had for £55 from amazon.co.uk. They look beefy and sound awesome. When I used to play BattleField 3, you could hear exactly where gunfire was coming from. Used it for music as well and sounds much better than my speakers.

Can also be turned up so high that I often use them as a speaker.... They go monstrously loud and still sound great.

EDIT: This headset used to be ?70, but they are releasing a new updated version that has an in built sound card, hence the drop in price. However, the new one will be ?100+, so I highly recommend getting the ?55 one. Is a bargain at that price.

(Am roccat mad btw. Have mouse, keyboard and headset all roccat. Even my mouse mat is roccat!)
Lots of neg reviews saying they're heavy and hiss.
