[WIP] TFC to FF Sounds
Information
This is for those that want a little novelty nostalgia in their game. None of these sounds sound nearly as great as the FF default sounds. This is in no way meant to replace the default sounds or try to upstage them. Installation instructions are in the readme of each zip file. You will need an unzipping program to install them. Please do not mirror or upload any of the "Near Completion" files as they are being released for feedback and testing. Last but not least I am not very great with editing sound files or creating them. I'm learning this as I go along. Positive feedback is much appreciated. Completed - Weapons Nailgun - http://files.filefront.com/tfc2ffnai.../fileinfo.html Super Shotgun - http://files.filefront.com/tfc2ffssh.../fileinfo.html Near Completion These are nearly finished packs that might need feedback or just could be missing a few files. I wouldn't be releasing these but I figure some people are wanting some more customization and every little bit helps. Please only give me constructive feedback and do not mirror or upload these anywhere. - Buildables Sentry Gun - http://files.filefront.com/sgzip/;93.../fileinfo.html In Progress - Weapons Super Nailgun Everything Else Last edited by SoBe Green; 12-28-2007 at 11:27 PM. |

WHAT THE FCK.
I SPEND A LONG TIME UPLOADING AND IT SAYS 'lol virus oversized.zip iz detekted' . Google says that it's because the upload host thinks it's a decompression bomb or something. I guess the zip is to big. I'll find a way to repack it. And believe me, I just ran 4 updated scanners and two spyware scanners. I'm certain. Can anyone figure out a way to dodge the false alarm? I prefer the HL / Quake player sounds, they have more clarity to them.
tu!, someone released a HL sound pack a while ago with all the HL player sounds: walking, jumping, swimming etc (I have them (I got them from www.circusshack.com, I think; however, the website seems to be unavailable)) |

That sounds very much like the pack I made months ago, but I put mine on filefront. I replaced most of the main FF sounds with TFC. The weapons, buildables, player sounds, medic/poison calls, explosions, even changed the UI startup music.

Yes, that must be where I got it from then :P
I downloaded it installed the pack and then realised I replaced my TFC sounds with Quake sounds...so I got all the Quake sounds and used them with Fortress Forever instead and added some Massive Attack for the startup music :P |
