Condemned was indeed great atmosphere (can't wait to play 2), but not so much scary, for me. Playing 'shalebridge craddle' in thief 3, now that was fucking scary. That and thief 1's zombie missions (down in the bonehoard, the haunted cathedral, etc) were the only times when a game really had me scared shitless. Afraid of Monsters isn't doing so bad for me either, btw.

Have yet to get there, but I haven't played STALKER for a while. Playing it for the first time btw.

You go to X18 very quickly actually. It's the second "special mission" Sidorovich (typing this name from memory) gives you.
