Map progress thread
I was wondering the state of completion for many maps.
I was hoping the offical map production thread could maybe add a bar or something for approximate completion. I'll try to keep information updated and at the top of this forum = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Note: this is percent complete.
In your posts please provide a link to the offical thread/webpage where people can go to, in order to see the latest screenshots and news about a map's developement. I'll make make the map name link to the proper place. Thank you. |

Warpath = Completed
Badlands = 60% Ravelin = .0005% Thinking of not remaking Ravelin due to the fact that it sucks. |

Epicenter: I'd say around 33%, one whole side is mapped out, it just needs furnishing and then the whole thing flipping.

2chem - alpha stage. Overall I'd say 85%.
The architecture is about 95%, the textures are about 70%, the entities are about 50%. Waiting on official release of FF to finish. Shutdown - about 5-10% BTW, excellent list of maps there (lets see Valve match that!) |

silo's about 28% complete i think
the basic underground layout for one side is complete i think, i just need to build the battlements above ground, and tart it up with props and beams and stuff, then flip the whole thing |

and I just started working on 2morforever, so put that at 4% hmm... Maybe I'll put a brush at the top of the map that teleports concing players to a box in the middle of nowhere they can never escape from... |

EJGS_Hunted (NOTICE THE D NOT THE R YOU KEEP PUTTING IN IT)- i would like to say at 65%, architecture is all done for the most part, right now im doing displacments and the skybox. That stuff takes forever, ive been working on the displacments for about 1-2 weeks, and i still have a ton more to do. And my skybox is going to be pwnage soooo.... thats gunna take forever as well.
Pull - This map is at 10% i have the basic layouts, and some displacments, aand a couple of props. CTF_Hellfire - I am going to say that this bad boy is at 10-15%, lots of architecture done, but thats about it. This one is going to be displacement heavy as well as a nice skybox. |

I'm currently in the texturing phase, though, I believe I'll just use placeholders until the FF team releases their SDK. I also have to rebuild the bridge, then flip the bases. Other than that, I'm adding new details to the map to make it more immersive than the original. |

I don't think you can simply state how complete a map is with a percentage but since you asked...
xpress - beta stage-ish, so 80% - Textured and lighted etc. Just waiting for ff to test how it plays. It's still open to any changes/ideas. airbase - shit all, probably 25% - Only basically made the main base and not all of it. Rest of it is still in idea form, using dev textures. kamfort - shit all, probably 20% - Base/yard is done but it'll all be redone some time since i don't like it, it was rushed and doesn't flow well - using dev textures edit: better? |

I'm really going quite slow on this one. I'm in the middle of moving and thigns are getting hectic, but second half of summer I'll be able to get to work on it. I'm getting a good laptop, so that will help since I spend a lot of time away from my PC at my dad's house. |

Sandbowl is 10% finish, but it will be a loooong time till it's finish.
Since I kinda gave up on the source engine and it's shortcomings. |

Anyone else have any map information to present?
What maps are already completed except for testing that should be done in the first week once FF is released? Anyone know if any of the maps above truely are dead? |

in this thread, you should include pictures of the map that is in progress for each one. When they click it, it takes them to a gallery of that map. Someone want to do some sort of a new gallery for FF map previews?

Working on avanti I would say it's about 60% done. 85% done brush work/architecture wise. 50% texture. 40% modeling/details. 20% entities etc. RL has been kicking my arse, and right now at a little bit of a lull, until some serious FF stuff comes out.

2fortsniper umm i would have said 70% but i have decided to go another way with it so maybe 30% at this moment.
