New TF2 Lobby System - Beta Info
For those in the TF2 scene, there is a new site being launched that acts like the L4D lobby system. If you are interested in trying the site out, send me a PM and I can pass you the private login information. The site is in the beta stage now, but they are working with Valve who have given them 48 official servers.
I'm handing out 50 over at srcds.com, but I'll also give out a few here if you drop me a PM. |

Does it just throw you in a random game or are they trying to set it up where two teams form and then start fresh?

The idea is that you organize teams within the website (full with the ability to choose the team and call your class). Once the games starts, you get linked to a server with a private password. You then have to manually join the team and class. The ideas is a nice GUI and organization for a Pick Up Game/Organized Play.

They've taken two years to create a huge public playerbase, made the game very appealing to many different types of players. Now they are creating a lobby system for the smaller group of individuals who want more of a competative environment. It's a great idea, it's one I've expressed would be a good model for creating a supportable competative environment for years.
