I love Rock 2 but then again I play engie.
I like every Valve map and most league maps.
Since I left TFC for Hostile Intent mod (and now BF2) I really enjoy the small details of a map to add realism without sacrificing FPS very much if the map is laid out well.

I have been lucky enough to get a hands on test of Amped beta1 and here it goes..

Having had high expectations of the fabulous screenshots I was at first let down a little by the interior, not that it doesnt look good, hell it looks fab, but the outside looks soooooo incredible it kindof does injustice to the inside.

The doors open only when you run into it so this will have to be changed to a brushtrigger for the eventual release, the other technical difficulty is that only 1 or 2 ladders in the map that work so you have to find another way around to get all over the map, and you might be forced to kill yourself once or twice because you cant get out of a space .

Layout-wise, the map seems hectic and small on the inside, and needs some getting used to.
The corridors and rooms have a few obstructions and aren't open enough in my oppinion and will be hell for offence, but I dont think defence will have it easy either because there are so many ladders and entranceways that they will have to keep an eye on.

A big issue imho is the spawnroom next to the tiny flagroom, this will be a spam map I'm affraid.

The outside as mentioned before, and as can be seen on the screenshots, is simply mindblowing (although i preferred the nightly screenshots for atmosphere).
I do miss an entrance way from the groundlevel cause its kindof an missed opportunity.

There are a lot of battlements/sniperpositions and windows and I think I can see some TFC-Veterans already scratching their head and hoping that there wont be to many snipers in public (that includes me)..

Some small bugs I found:
Where is the lightsource?
You can get stuck here.. and no way to get back out (this is just comming out of the spawn and into the sewer, so just add a clippingbrush)
Some texture miss-alignment, nothing big though
You can shoot through this pilar. (add a clippingbrush)


Conclusion:
The map looks fabulous, especially the outdoor area.
The battlements-thing is original, but this might attract to many snipers.
The indoors layout is somewhat cramped and hectic.
The flagroom is just next to a spawnroom which I fear will be a cause for spam.

This map has serious potential, I just wish the indoors would be abit faster from a gameplay point-of-view.

After trying the map and liking its look, I found some problems with certain areas of the map.

The Ladders:
I found that only one ladder worked. With some ladders, in particular the ones with the curved top were hard to drop down to the lower level. Illustrated in the image below.



And the image below is of the one ladder that worked, which is located in the blue base, at the entrance.

And on another note, where did you get your skybox from? Very nice.




The Stairs:
Across your map, you have placed stairs, most of which work with some of them stopping you for a second then letting you carry on going forward.
The stairs that stop you slightly are shown below:


But there is one set of stairs that does not do its job properly. The two screenshots below illustrate what I mean.

This image is of the set that works - in the blue sewers.


This image is of the set that does not work - in the red base.



The Lifts:
Even though you have two areas that have lifts, only one of the two lift sections actually have a lift. That is in the blue area. The red area is missing a lift.



FPS Problems:
From playing your map, I found that certain areas are rendering nearly the entire map when it shouldn't be. This isn't good. Instead of 150 fps I was getting 15 fps... In some areas though, the map is fine. It is just at a few spot of the map that it is almost unplayable, so you need to optimise the map a bit more.

Overall the map looks really good, the theme is good, the lighting is very nice and clean but the layout of the map is slightly tight and confusing.

And on another note, where did you get your skybox from? It is very nice.
