The point to the jpad change was make it useless for scout and medic while keeping it viable for heavier offense classes basically.

Edit: On the topic of jump pads, gotta go with Kube, gotta find a balance between the nerf and the old one.

It's worth noting that in pre-steam FF you can conc further and faster without a jpad, than you can with one.

A comparison:

The difference in speed is pretty noticeable, while the distance is pretty marginal. But the point is that all the jpad does is make concing easier, not better. So it's really only a nerf to heavier O, which I will admit is unfortunate.

I've said plenty of times already I'd like to move away from the EZ mode level of consistency that jpads give to light O runs, while remaining viable for heavier O.
If only for the pubs sake. But I think this is a decent middle ground tbh.

I think the bug of lua files not downloading with the map from server needs to be fixed before FF gets onto steam. Just tried downloading ff_urbantag_b1 from Moto's server and only got the .bsp and .cache files.

EDIT: Oh, rookie didn't include a .res file with his map. Can anyone confirm if the lua not downloading bug still exists?
