Slick floors?
Can anyone point me to tutorials or examples of it being done? In radiant, there was a friction setting for surfaces, is there such a thing in hammer? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure there are some maps that have Ice surfaces in HL@. I know there are some in TFC/CS. I'd start with interlopers.net.

Isn't it part of the texture?

If that doesn't work, the 'cheap' way to make slick or slippery surfaces is to cover the ground with a giant trigger_push, with no set direction and a light push speed. It'll push the user in the direction they're traveling. It shouldn't be a tall brush though, only short enough to activate.

vidars kinda pops into mind. Yea, its in the textures themselves. To be technical the friction is preset by the "$surfaceprop" in the vmt file of the texture itself.
