Aardvark window bug pisses me off

When on Aardvark, whenever I pipejump from the secondary battlements around our respawn, you know what I mean, with 3 or 4 pipes, or double-conc for that matter, I usually fly straight into that window overlooking the enemy flag room. Apparently there is a glitch that kills me whenever I fly into it..

Not a glitch. It's part of the map.

lol, I put a trigger kill on the outside of the window to entertain the defenders inside

p.s. just use air-control not to hit the window whenever you don't fancy providing amusement for those within...?

Kinda hard when you come flying with 500mp/h from a double-conc jump, dont you think?

I've never had any problems. I pld a little bit of TFC tho, so I'm pretty used to the whole fast concing and air-control thingy.

Btw you can reach the fd pusher with one conc from your conc balcony (as medic or scout). If you're having trouble getting the distance, imo it's btr to land short then use the downward slope on the left to kick you forwards to gain some additional speed for the bhop and main ramp. If you want to do a double conc to get more speed to pass the main ramp defence, there's a little rock formation on the ground (just before the left wall curves outwards for that shrubbery area) that's designed specifically for double concing fast and easily at the fd pusher. Just drop a conc in the little valley/crack in the rocks, then prime and hold another conc while standing on the rock in front. Double concing from your conc balcony is in general not a good idea cos it will most likely mess up your team mates runs.

Oh, and are you really going 500mph? weeeeeeeeee. The speedo on the front of the base is calibrated to mph iirc

Yes. I double conc successfully from one side to the other and hit the speed ramp, and the speedometer shows 00's

lmao, and are you caesium from the super 1337 omfg skills avi I saw on youtube? (That's not the name, I just dubbed it that) If it is, you're lying about playing a "little of TFC" .

I never get to see that speedometer when I'm flying by so I never know how fast I'm going.

I'll admit the first time playing that map I jumped to my death in that window. I think most typical offensive players have performed that act...once. Just like I think most people have discovered the button in the basement to the furnace...once.

If you're consistently hitting that window, I think you need to correct your concing technique heh. Either you gotta tap on the breaks a bit, or take a wider route.

If you're hitting it with 3 pipes as a demo, you're standing too close and above your pipes. Try to time your jump so when your pipes go off, you're further out infront of them when they go off, giving you more of a horizontal push than a verticle one.

3 pipes with a demo will get me up the ramp faster more consistently than HH concing with a scout. The scout will get there first everytime because he primes and jumps while I'm laying out my pipes, but my approach up the ramp is usually waay faster.

Double concing isn't a good strat because once your 2nd conc goes off you're going soo fast, you loose a lot of your air control. So you tend to fly straight forward at mock chicken into anything in your way lol.

Or... double conc from the bottom of your ramp that way you'll cover more distance and slow down in time to control your landing from there.

Cheers,
Hammock

I love the death box, I saw a scout fly into it once while playing as a defensive engineer, it was great! Also, the button to furnace is super uncool.

There needs to be 2 furnace buttons. One to open the furnace doors, or one to watch em BURN! Both buttons obviously would be placed where the current button is.

Then spies can pretend to be noob members of your team and infiltrate your base, I like it. I mean, who's gonna take the chance and kill your teammate?

Its not just the defenders that it entertains. The first time I found out about it I couldn't stop laughing. To me it was like a bug hitting a windshield! lol The others on my team that had seen me go and splat couldn't stop laughing either.

What the devs need to prioritize above everything else is a super-violent gibs explosion. If someone smacks into the wall in aardvark, there should be a huge splash of blood, and anyone looking at it from the outside would see blood splash on their screen.

Also: blood stains should be on the window.
