help! i needs a .tta to .mp3 converter!

do any of ya know any (free) ones out there..?

i have this one song (well i think it's a song anyway, winamp didn't show no video when i downloaded the .tta plugin) that's in this format, and i need to get it into mp3 'cause my ipod thing doesn't support it.

it's also friggin' 432mb.

halp is much needed, and will be much appreciated. :cries:

You should be able to use the diskwriter plugin that comes with Winamp. Prefs > plugins > output. Pick the disk writer one, and configure it to the format/settings you want, then just play the file. Rather than being sent to your audio hardware it will "play" to file.

(remember to change back after you do it)

The plugin has options for writing into any format you have the encoding codec for. If you don't have an mp3 encoder go get lame, it's all free and stuff.

edit: actually now that I think about it back when I used it I had problems going direct to mp3, and instead saved to wav and then used audacity with the aforementioned lame codec to turn that into mp3.
