I must know!

When you are bhoping and you get shot in the face, it slows you down...

However when you get shot in the back, will/does it speed you up?

In all my days playing tfc i cant for the life of me think if it does.

Sometimes it slows you down. That being said, it usually always boosts you a bit.

the AC and SG fire certainly boost you loads. I'm with Player on this, I find it usually speeds you up being shot in the back, but it can slow you down as he says. What it's dependant on, I dunno.

I'd rather all shots (excluding sniper rifle hits, ac hits, SG hits, and rockets/nades/pipes) slowing down the target a small bit. It would give a very small edge to the newer players and it does make a little sense.

But if you are shot in the back by anything, a shotgun blast, a rail gun or even a nail, surely you should speed up and not slow down. I would prefer it, however, if only the ac, sg and sniper rifle were the only weapons that caused 'push back'.

You get pushed in the direction you are shot from. Getting slowed down from shots that should be speeding you up is either a bug or you hitting the movement cap because of the added speed. FF will function similar to TFC in that damage will give a push to players, hopefully without any bugs.

He does kinda go flying, but that might have been because he was running.

Yes, but how many criminals do you see wearing a red or blue uniform jumping down the street faster than walking pace, followed by a rocket jump?

Not many i imagine

My point? TFC isnt even remotely realistic!

This 'pushback' you get from being shot by any hitscan based weapon is a bit overpowered imo. In almost every match these days I get shot in the back with the ssg and I lose all the my speed. Also, I remember I was doing the double conc on bases2k2 recently, from bot ramp in rr to flagroom. As I was flying through the rr a sol hit me with the ssg and I lost virtually all the speed I had gained from the first conc. When someone is travelling at such a high speed a ssg blast shouldn't really make such a great impact tbh.
Oh and the ac pushback, like I've said earlier in other topics, it's utterly ridiculous atm.

Bad server, low fps, high choke is the culprit a lot of the time.

In these type of conditions, an opf balc solly can make you lose all of your speed with a few ssg shots :/

That's true, but that's because he was sped up initially. His old, sick body didn't know how to deal with this new force. Now, a strong, verile medic... they can handle it.

I agree with bokko, pushback is totally overpowered, imo it should be taken out altogether.
