Colonoscopy - Dave Barry style
For someone who's already been through one of these ... and another this year ... this is hilarious as well as informative:

Yes they do knock you out.
One thing he didn't mention is that they don't let you leave until you start farting... and once they start it's like after a meal of 10 chili-bean burritos. Loud. Boisterous. And since you are still a bit woozy from the anesthesia you don't care who's around. |

hehehe... brought tears to my eyes I was laughing so hard (and remembering).
On the "serious side", if nothing else perhaps you can pass it on to parental units, aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers, or anyone else of the age where this would be useful/informative/give them a chuckle. fwiw, I'm not suggesting spamming or AOL email helling them, just that this is a hilarious (yet in the end serious) take on one of those things in life you really need to deal with to stay healthy. I hit 57 this year, and plan/want to live at least another century or more (if only that were possible!). |

For sure...I mean it's not applicable to me, but I know of people that could / should be aware of this and this sends the message in the best way I have ever seen.
