ehm... that's quite a lot. I hope the damage inflicted to the pyro is as high as with a soldier's RJ...
How about napalm jumps? ETF's Napalm jumps were really useful. You couldn't jump that high (up the grate or to the battlement in 2fort) but the damage was really low as well...

CZ2 was fucking awesome, the clan matches that came down to the very last second to decide it were classic.

it could quite possibly be tweaked. its a bit excessive at the moment, so i dont expect this to stay. also bear in mind this was a IC/grenade jump. the IC jump is still fairly weak, but stronger than TFC

I'm glad you had fun Smack, but your feedback was a bit pants.

"It's nearly finished!" sums it up really and amounts to all you said, other than the HWG has a dodgy head.

Thread didn't deliver.

I would've thought the idea of having beta testers was to have a mixed bunch, some experienced good tf players, some with a little and some with none. Remember the aim for FF is for expereienced clan players, avd players, public players and to encapulate new players, I'd assume the beta tester selection would encorporate that!

Thanks for the post smack, is interesting to read a non-dev pov! Oh and btw, if a pre 2007 release is on the cards, you have 31 days! The clock is ticking...

Well everythings pretty much the same except it feels alot smoother, the instant-hit-a-brick-wall speed cap is gone which helped alot. The trimping is simply the most fun i've had in any game, with perhaps the exception of wall jumping in warsow (it's very cool building up a little speed in the 2f rr and trimping from the bottom ramp to the catwalk).
It has the most fluid movement i've experienced, which i think is gonna be a huge pulling factor for alot of people that play fps.

I was a bit dissapointed that the tester seem to hint that learning BH was a must for the game, my old fingers just can not cope ;(

With all the silly words that get banded about FPS's trimping is the one i've never heard explained properly, enlighten me.

Basically you press jump just before you hit a ramp which will send you much higher into the air than a normal jump would, allowing you to get to places you otherwise couldn't.
For example you can build up a little speed as scout, hit the ramp on the monkey_l cp and "trimp" up onto the bag above T junc.

What classes do the beta testers play the most? Is it still medic/soldier/HW/engineer/scout?

Is sniper ever used / usable now?

pyro's / spies on offense?

If you do use sniper, is it relative to the gameplay or is it more a case of trying it out to see how it works/looks.

well at the moment i think we're testing specific things, so its hard to say. pyro is such a blast at the moment though!

i'd say spy at the moment.

Is bunnyhopping and air movement changed so it's more like the Quake engine, or is it more like Source? Source feels a lot worse to me, it's like you're sliding around and the bunnyhopping is too uncontrollable
