I don't see why your wanting to send it back to him..
You did buy it off him right? It was in full working order when it arrived right? Why is it his problem? It's not like he magically told the camera to break. |

Well, technically, you may be right. But see, the camera didn't just broke, it broke in a special way. Like, if the dude wouldn't sell it to decs the camera would break in his hands after 200/whatever shots.
So he aither knew that (cuz looks like it's a very common problem), which makes him a sneaky bastard or he got extremely lucky, which doesn't make us hate him any less So yeah, give us the money biotch or get poop from 2934 pplz from around the world How much a pack of poop waights anyway? EDIT: omg i just got a redicilous thought. let's say he didn't give the money back. so now 2934 FF pplz send him poop by air mail. so the dude is swormed with shit and we all lol about it. weeks later decs does some calculations.. lets say the shipping costs 3$ make it X 2934 pplz= 8802$ O_O ... decs thinks about it again... with all that money we could get him a new guitar + 100 cameras... decs get's even more depressed and quits FF Last edited by o_mescalito; 05-09-2006 at 05:00 PM. |

Well ginger, considering that it did break the first day i got it and since he put in his add that it was in great condition i think its only fair that he should atleast pay some of the repair costs. Its partly his problem because i payed for a product that didnt live up to what he said in the add.

lol mervaka, you're prolly right. The shipping cost and taxes (the norwegian laws are craaaazy strick on things beeing sent here from other countrys, youd have to pay tax on the shipping cost and the potential value of the poo i suspect) from like... 100 users aloone would buy me a new camera. I should set up a paypal

what if it had already broken in the first place, and all he did was put a little plastic cement to keep it on?
push that accusation. legally, i don't think you can do anything about it though.. he doesn't have to do it if he doesn't wanna, right? doesn't that happen in real life auctions all the time? its a gamble, and you don't have to buy it. but, that being said, it wouldn't hurt for you to try. the worst he could do is say no, and if you want your money back, you can try selling it off to the next poor bloke. |

how? his mirror fell off for fuck sake. thats not resellable!
while the 300D seems to have a rather common problem, the only other 350D problem i could find was with this guy in london, and he had totally different problems - ie his CF light kept flashing :S well he's on his third camera now, i just hope we dont get similar problems |

Yeah its not resellable right now, if it were i would sell it. But ive registered the problem at a canon repairshop and im sending it in later today or tomorrow, depending on if i can find someone with a printer
He said earlyer that he might be willing to pay up to $75 for the repair but i think its going to go way over that judge on the other guys with the same problem that had it fixed. Hopefully i can get it covered by that 5 year warranty thing that i dont remember the name of. The warranty is 2 years but you have 5 years or somethinsomethin.

Well, it looks like it was in perfect working order when he received it. I'm not sure how much help he'll get there.

Yeah well, it is a difficult sitaution. However, it doesnt matter if it was working when i got it, it broke down after about 3 hours of use the day i got it. And the norwegian laws do give you some rights if a product bought used didnt live up to what the text in the add for it promised. And in this case, it didnt. Even though it was a used product, if it breaks down within a certain time period after the purchase and the fault was not caused by the buyer then you do have some rights.
But im sending it in to canon and see if i cant get them to pay for it since (according to norwegian laws) the part that broke down is supposed to last longer than the two years covered by the original warranty. Thoose parts are covered by a 5 year warranty. If that fails, and the repair costs more than i can afford then i dont know what to do. Ill prolly just try to get someone i know that run a photo store to fix it for me.
