Ideas being repeated over and over:

When I just saw the suggestion of the Sniper being able to lay down, I came up with this thread: what gameplay wrecking, unapplicable, plain silly or for any other reason "bad ideas" have been suggested and keep getting suggested over and over?

sniper prone
ninja class
reimplement teleporter
reimplement grappling hook
gravity gun
manning the sentrygun
and for some reason also a farting hwguy

anything I missed?

These ideas are usually from the less mature people. I'm sure I'd think those are all good features to add at 16-.

Not all of these are "gameplay wrecking" ideas IMO, just some of them would not work well in TFC. It is not so much the ideas themselves that suck, but rather the result of the discussions in the original thread(s) that determine their usefulness.

Some ideas were pretty sound to me until someone made a good counter-point on how it would fuck up the game, so... yeah.

some of those aren't gamebreaking

for example "manning the sentrygun" isn't gamebreaking, its ineffective (the sg has better aim, and has better reflexes[except in certain situations])

and a farting hwguy is just nonsensicle and rediculous, I mean, honestly
