Ending railgun airshot is quite impressive.
I need to record more.

great plays and music. the quality was a little low for my taste. I don't mind downloading a file of 500-600 MB for clips like that with good editing.
I hope you are saving the original HQ clips for future work. |

The DL link did not work for me. And Shelby your railgun hit on me in pre-match, was good, lol. Although i did not say you can use it.

I would like to see a list of the maps played in that video. There are a couple I haven't seen yet, and they look pretty fun.
Good work on the video, too. nicely done.

I liked the def content, full of nice shots that kept me interested. The music choice I felt was horrid didn't really suit the avi. Also the lack of transitions was abit :S.
Also the slow motions got really annoying after a while... Much preferred the def content to the offy content. Do you play offence or defence? |

also as gr3m said, slow motion pissed me off - was too much; I saw it the first time I don't need to see it again, engineer rail on scout was necessary though, as quality of video didn't show it clearly.
Generally nice enough, but no run after run clips. Fair enough only show the good shit but at the same time it makes make same doubt your skill as much as that egotistical crap/text in the middle suggested. Most of the stuff I believed is that after months of playing is you'd get enough 'lucky' shot and dets to shove in an AVI. More runs, lengthy clips, less single clips showing lucky timing etc. This was to complete a trilogy? I haven't seen the others, please post the others in the first post if it is. (sorry if you have and i've failed to notice) Don't want to seem a dick but wasn't overly impressed - mostly due to this single clip after single clip stuff. Though I would appreciate if you keep on going and bring out more AVIs... |

Pepz, did you happen to make a high res version? WKFL. Thanks. Edit: More critique- I am well aware that it's not how competitive play usually goes, but I only want to see very impressive conc's/ movement tricks, or lots of killing on offense runs. Offensive runs where you don't kill anyone do nothing to excite people who don't realize the difficulty of the maneuvers. There are plenty of "good" players, but smart editing can take a good player and propel them to superstardom. And yeah, slomo is the "lens flare" of frag movies. Outstanding,
I like the second song better then first. It sounds like a techno remix of "Rock me like a hurricane" by the scorpions. Its been a long time since I have that song. Did you mix that yourself, or did someone do it for you? |

btr than your previous ones, so gj there.
i agree with most of what grem and elmo said. anyway, completely leaving aside the "skill" of the moves (cos anyone can make a cool avi if they do it right, however good/bad they are at a game), here are some more thoughts for future vids: - capture the frames from FF and render the avi at much btr fps (mimumum 45 imo) and avoid temporal aliasing (capture at an integer multiple fps of your avi render). - apply better video filters to make it much clearer to follow and create a style you find visually appealing (gamma, brightness/contrast, hue/saturation, luminosity, etc are the basic essentials). - compress it much btr video quality (xvid/264 and mp3 tbh). - use video editing (cutting/transitions/effects/etc) that helps, not prevents, the viewer follow what's going on. work out what you the point of each clip/section is and use the editing as a tool to achieve that goal. - try to create a flow for the avi in the way you use clips/editing/timing/sound/etc. this is a really tricky thing to explain and do well, but atm it just feels like a bunch of generally poor disjointed clips jammed together with music playing. definitely improving since last ones though, so you're going in the right direction. sorry if that sounded negative, but just saying it straight is the best way. i rly wish my demo playback wasn't completely messed up in FF cos i'd love to have a go at making a decent avi look forward to your future vids |
