Server set up help

Hey guys,

I am working with and admin of a big server in Australia hoping to get it a bit better. He currently looks after lots of servers (not just across HL2 mods either) so he isn't very familiar with the server settings. It would be great for us Aussies and New Zealanders to have a good server to play on with options and stats etc.

So my questions are:

1. Does anyone have a link to download the maps: ff_r123 and ff_xpress (current version)

2. Can someone give me a server settings cfg file or list the commands here so i can pass it on the admin. It's currently default settings, things such as prematch timer and stuff would be good. I like the TALOS settings, anyone got the cfg file for those?

3. It would be good to implement a serverside minimod to allow players to vote and nominate maps (much the same as TALOS server). Any idea on where to download this/configuring options?

And by 'serverside minimod', i mean plugin. Just something simple to allow players to rtv and nominate, stats would be nice too, but not a nescessity

Is the server up and running? So all you are looking for is a server.cfg?

Sounds like you should login to the Talos forums and ask them what they are using, you'll probably get what you need there faster then here.

Yeh, its up and running, just after a decent server.cfg.

that includes the likes of:

autoteambalance on
map timelimit aroun 20 mins
prematch timer of around 20 secs
and all the other decent settings that most public servers use

As well as a decent plugin that allows 'rtv', 'nominate map' and possibly stats.

mp_prematch 20
mp_timelimit 20 (I believe 20 is default)
Make sure that
sv_gravity 800
sv_maxspeed 600

Server plugins should be MetaMod and SourceMod. You have to have MeaMod to run SourceMod. The auto team balance you should be able to find a SourceMod plugin for it on their site. I'm not at home so that's the best I can do from memory.

Hi I run some ff servers add me in steam friends, I´m glad to help you set you stats ,configs, metamod and sourcemod and plugins stuff u need: ) my steam friends
About the autobalance plugin, im afraid that won´t work properly in ff, i tryed some 3 diferent autobalance plugins, they do work, but when you play maps with 4 teams, it f"$´s it all D : But theres team swicth admin plugins that allow admins to move players, if someone is staking a team on purpose.

Ze what are you talking about? You dont know how to run a server let alone set one up...
