Even the guitars you play in-game have fucking strings on them, he can't really be that retarded.

Yes, for guitar and bass. But the drum kit is a replacement for the real thing in a sense. Personally, it helped me operate my feet and hands independently, and I can pull stuff out on a real drum kit that I wouldn't be able to do, savvy?

The guitar hero drumkit is definitely a good way of getting people into drumming, it introduces timing and teaching your brain to operate your hands and feet at different times which is the first major step in learning the drums !

The entire thing is a good stepping stone. The guitars teach timing and rhythm, the drums teach timing, rhythm, and limb independence. The vocals help with pitch.

.... not to mention the game is... FUN!

I have really gotten into game drumming, running through the rock band trainer a few times. I have considered getting a real drum kit and learning to play. Something I only ever considered in the middle of the night while laying drunk in bed.

AND you can hook them (drum kit) up to the game:

There are also a bunch of home built models if you search you tube.

Bet me?

I had to work with this kid.... a co-worker(who worked with him back in the spring) noted that "By the end of the season, he knew the difference between a petunia and a helicopter."

I coulnd't put it any better, except to question the above statement, I'm not sure he knows the difference.

I made the comments that "He's the only person I know who's IQ is measured as a fraction." and that "That boy must shove 4 'D' batteries up his ass in the morning, because his brain can't generate enough power to move him around all day."
