However I think that an assault/defense map would be cool, I like those kinds the most in CS:S

DOES HE MEAN LIKE ONE TEAM DEFENDS AND THE OTHER TEAM ATTACKS TO CAPTURE THE FLAG, OR TO RESCUE THE HUNTED OR SOMETHING?

Mirv wasn't kidding. And I'm still confused about the .K? If by assault, you mean attack and defend, well...they've got some. Yeah.

Sorry to interrupt this funny thread but I'm playing in an UT2004 Assault clan and I really really wish that in FF the A/D maps would me more like UT assault maps, with many different objectives, vehicles, a brilliant score/time system, medals etc. Compare the boring "bring the flag to capture point X" like in dustbowl with an UT map like Junkyard and you see what I mean.
Ok, vehicles are not really necessary. I say this before someone starts flaming about it, there are many UT assault maps without vehicles like convoy, fallencity, castle, guardia... and if you know that maps you know what I wanna see: A mode where one team attacks first, finishs the map in X minutes, then the other teams has X minutes to attack and the map finishs with a clear result of which team was faster.
And a gameplay that doesn't focus only on the flag with heavy spam...

What different types of objectives are there in UT maps (I've not played it myself, well except for about 5mins of UT2k4)?
