I was at 3 packs a day, for about 8 months.... when I had had enough. I lost control of my smoking when Rose went terminal. In the middle of November, 3 months after she died.... I decided that after Thanksgiving, I was going to quit. I bought a box of patches, and used less than half of them. I've been without a cigarette ever since. Over 26 months.

If I could do it, you can do it. Just remember that.

So far I'm doing pretty good. Got a little irritable a few hours after taking a puff of a red, but I'm feeling pretty good. Working out I think has helped out, as I do pushups now instead of smoking when bored.
