On offensive, a pyro is there to provide covering fire for the flag carrier , bit hard to snipe at a medic if you've got 3 IC rounds coming at you and you are already on fire.

However, using the pyro as a flag runner can get quite respectable results because you are sort of fast and well armored and if you dont get to the flag, you can do a serious amount of damage to the defence.

Do you think there is any chance the pyro will be usefull in FF ?
Or will it be as lame as in tfc to use a pyro in a decent clan match ?

They're trying to make the Pyro more useful, in hopes he'll see use in organized play. Whether or not they'll succeed, we can't be sure.

If they dont want Cursing, fine, but 9 times outta 10 the reason they say is because of minors.

Time to repeat what others have said. Obviously its because the eight year old is eight... A little to young to be playing on an M rated game.
