Classic quotes from the Steam forums TF2 topics

Ill start you off.

Quote:
I think the best place for pyro is above the main entrance guarding a sentry gun...the flames makes it hard for anyone to see the sentry gun to get off the several rockets necessary to take it out and the flames + sentry gun fire (especailly if it's level 3) significantly pursuade an enemy to find another way in. Keep in mind that the sentry gun can see through the flames.
All def setups should be based on this

And it just gets better.

Quote:
BBQ'ing HWGs is the one true joy of being a Pyro.

First time I did it, the team stopped to watch and said WTF!

But I always play pyro, and the way to play is the distraction method mentioned above, although chasing a burning medic into the maw of a L3 sentry is quite funny

On offensive, a pyro is there to provide covering fire for the flag carrier , bit hard to snipe at a medic if you've got 3 IC rounds coming at you and you are already on fire.

However, using the pyro as a flag runner can get quite respectable results because you are sort of fast and well armored and if you dont get to the flag, you can do a serious amount of damage to the defence.
First time I did it, the team stopped to watch and said WTF! oh rly

Just a thought.
Do you think there is any chance the pyro will be usefull in FF ?
Or will it be as lame as in tfc to use a pyro in a decent clan match ?

(Sorry, I've just realised that we're talking about that in another thread)

They're trying to make the Pyro more useful, in hopes he'll see use in organized play. Whether or not they'll succeed, we can't be sure.

Making fun of younger people who really get caught up and enjoy the game isn't funny.

Yes that person sound like he really enjoys the game, despite him most likely been tiresome yet humorous if you’re in the right mood.

Rofl, that never happens

Everytime I read something like this I imagine everyone stopping, the map suddenly turning into the Colosseum where everyone takes a seat and marvels at the eight year old BBQing the HW in the arena :P

Yes it is, considering they shouldn't be playing the game...

Nah, he just owns. And he is right. The game is rated M for Mature which means if you aren't 17+ years old, you should'nt be playing the game.

And if you are thats cool, but your here not really as a right. Be like saying a Rated R movie needs the curses and nudity blocked out because a minor might of snuck in.

Yeah Zaskar, because half-life is rated M so that the grownups can curse and call eachother names in multiplayer.. Aren't you like 14 anyway?
Their server - their rules, go play somewhere else if you don't like it!

Yea thats it im 14, exactly thank you. Using your amazing Sherlock Holmes like deductive skills to come to that conclusion too I bet. I thought i was 24 but now im starting to second guess myself at after reading that. Maby we should start calling you Miss. Cleo?

If they dont want Cursing, fine, but 9 times outta 10 the reason they say is because of minors.

And we all know the "if you dont like it go play somewhere else" bullshit for fucks sake. And i do, doesnt mean its not bullshit.

I most certainly am...

Time to repeat what others have said. Obviously its because the eight year old is eight... A little to young to be playing on an M rated game.
