Diablo III? (Confirmed!)
Some people are speculating that it's the case after this appeared.
So, you think another installment is on the way? UPDATE: Well, it's official now. I'm gonna have to reserve this.

If it's an MMO, I won't buy it. Don't like pay-to-play, even if it is worth it, content-wise. Sadly, I fear my Diablo franchise joy will probably die with D2.

Diablo III would be beyond epic, regardless of the game type.

With a url like this, it's kinda easy to make guesses... most likely Wrath of the Lich King. Based on image design though, the rune on the left side of the image pretty much places it within Warcraft or Diablo lore; but could be anything that's currently labeled as "Project Hydra." However with the Worldwide Invitational coming up soon, it could be anything; could be a Project Hydra unveiling, a major announcement for Wrath or Starcraft; it's anyone's game at this point; though it should be noted that Wrath of the Lich King is playable at the WWI, as is Starcraft 2. They have hired people for the Diablo dev team. If there is not a Diablo 3 in the works, then what else are they working on? Blizzard really only has 3 series. (or 4 if WoW is separate from the rest of Warcraft). I don't think we're going to be seeing a WCIV any time soon and SCII is coming out. Diablo 3 is the next in line.

I don't get it - does the delay with the screen with the crystals on mean something's in the works?
I've never played Diablo either. |

I surea as hell HOPE diablo III is an MMO. Diablo is the franchise that should have gotten an MMO in the first place, for craps sake. Daiblo II was sort of like a precursor to MMOs (with persistant characters and all that). Unlike Warcraft, it was actually an RPG. Plus it's got the world for it, with the west land place, the desserty area, kurast, Hell, Harrogath, etc.
If it's an MMO or not, I'll be playing it.

Ya, but Diablo was a simple fast point click game. Advancing your character was easy until much higher levels.
I like those kind of games, but many of the newer point click games felt much slower paced. To me Diablo seemed soo much faster. |

I hope they keep a similarish design to previous diablo's. Despite their point and clickedness they were ridiculously entertaining.

Diablo III will probably be a MMO. WoW is kind of, ya know, printing fucking money for Blizzard.
That's not what worries me - Diablo III is the only MMO I'd ever pay to play. What worries me is this. Warcraft II? Fast as hell gameplay. Like Starcraft, but not in space. Warcraft III? Slooow. Goodbye massing huge loads of units, because now you have upkeep. They TF2's Warcraft. Then, World of Warcraft. Slowed down even further. Grindfest ahoy. What made Diablo II fun wasn't just that it was a great game - it was hella fast. The TFC of Single Player RPGs. The same reason I dislike WoW is the same reason I dislike Diablo - it's so damned slow. Diablo II has just the right pace. Chrissakes, I've played the game for like a thousand hours already. Lots of people have played it for longer. They don't have to put in artificial timesinks like grinding - the game is fun enough on its own to keep you engaged. If they WoW it up and slow the whole damn thing down, a fucking boatload of fans are going to be very pissed. And you had best not fuck over Teleport by making it retarded like WoW's Blink!

Here's an image for the upcoming Blizard WWI
I got it from neogaf forums....they figure the fire in the hand represents a 3 meh maybe...i just think it obviously shows as Diablo as the focus for this WWI. Plus last year they announced Starcraft II Id like it to be Diablo III |

As a blizzard fanboy as a whole; I'm really looking forward to a Diablo 3 in what ever form it comes in; Diablo 2 style or MMO, I don't care.
After playing Diablo 2 again just the other day, it's actually refreshing to play every once in awhile; I only wish that they'd increase resolutions 'n' shit. |

DII was awesome because of the billions of ice shards and javelins and lightning bolts and chunks of meat blasting everywhere at all times. It's the only game with more gibs than TF. Also, Quote:
