i am going to be streaming me playing in the FF pub servers (among other things.) mostly because I can and maybe it will help get some people interested in Fortress Forever i also am going to be streaming a couple other games, heres a list...

I refuse to play War Thunder due to being able to fly with a mouse. Real pilots play WWII Online!

that is to bad because its a good game. they soon will be adding tanks.

I know joysticks can be used, but with mice being able to be used it makes it ez mode for the masses. I hope they eventually do away with it and stick to just joystick only.

I'm sure you can appreciate the challenge and difficulty it took to learn all your FF skillz. Just imagine a similar scenario happening in this game. Some game-altering change that makes what you've worked towards useless because a lot of gamers these days enjoy that watered down koolaid, that dumbed down play. WWII Online is to War Thunder as FF is to TF2. All looks with no substance.

its not that way i feel because of a joy stick or mouse but the realism settings like you can't go to fast to slow or your wings fall off arcade modes you move like a flying saucer can whatever you want within reason (with or without a joystick.) atleast for arcade mode ill talk more about that later.

tbh though making a flying accessible to everyone isn't a bad thing at all imo. yes not everyone will be as skilled as the experts but not everyone wants or has time to they just want to have fun and fly a plane. thing about war thunder is they have 3 steps each step getting gradually more realistic all with sperate lobbies so you don't have to play with people who use a mouse.
arcade/historical/full realism

people who want to play full realism can play together im sure there are plenty. also i think in full realism you cannot use a mouse have to use joystick. if you want something historical with alittle more realism then arcade that mode is for you. and if you want straight up arcade you can do that to. really i think its great that they provide a system for everyone. :P me im not coordinated enough to fly can't hack it. (tried in il2 sturmovik (game) never really did get it down. (flying not so bad taking off landing stuff like that.)

also ww2 online isn't really a flight sim its a battle field sim more comparable to red orchestra 1. or perhaps arma series in ww2. at least in my opinion from what ive seen of it. though i haven't played it. heard it went f2p recently

Hey as long as they are able to balance it where arcade mode isn't overpowered compared to the realism versions, I'm fine with that.

Why would you even worry about that? They're seperate modes that are played seperately. Are you really one of those guys that cringes at people playing games outside of your personal preference?

That's like saying minecraft creative mode needs to be balanced with minecraft survival mode.

To my knowledge, there's no way to play separately. If that is the case, then I don't care. Let the mice people play against the mice people. There is a lack of consequence when playing the arcade version. Much less in the sense of stalling your plane and much easier to line up and kill a target than with a js.

i think i may have found the right settings to make streams work half decent. (you don't need 60 fps for streams.) televison standard is 24 looks pretty smooth.

Sure you don't need 60fps for streams but it won't look nearly as smooth.

if i can't get 60 fps what FPS do you recomend. or rather whats the minimum before it gets choppy with FF? 2 mbit upload want to use about 1mbit as it doesn't necessarily hit 2 all times.

Id recommend at least 30 if your pc can do that. A lot of people prefer quality over game play.

pretty sure it can.

thing is i can run warthunder/company of heroes 2 without much problems but FF is really grainy at 60 fps.

And I'd prefer being able to watch the stream rather than getting a screenshot every minute of your screen.
