Platform Error: module failed to initialize

I just downloaded and installed FF and when I try to start it the initial screen flashes for a second, crashes and gives me this error.

Did you installed 2.2 Full then 2.3 Client Patch? Does this happen with other source games?

Found the problem, it was to do with Steam community being enabled in game.

You'd need to turn off steam community while playing, there should be an option for it in Steam's File->Settings menu, in-game tab. Uncheck "Enable Steam Community In Game", hit OK, then try running the game.
