Board Restructuring
We're looking at various ways of restructuring this board, and here's what we've come up with so far.
Ditch the "general" board, and have this board structure instead:
Looking for opinions from players on this. The general board in this section has pretty much become a shitfest - we know it, you know it, everyone else knows it. With this, the board has direct purpose, there's no guesswork as to what is and isn't topical, and we don't lose any functionality. If you have any suggestions or comments, leave them here.

I think the general board is a necessary evil. Yes, topics get moved or deleted quite a bit, but that would happen anyway if the general board didn't exist. Plus, some people like talking about FF in general. Removing that doesn't really help much. There is already a clan/league place, and although what you've suggested is nice, having it replace the general section is probably not a good idea. Keep the general section and make the clan/league sections broken up the way you want.
Go to 90% of other forums, and they all have general discussion sections regarding whatever topic the board is about. It's not a bad idea to keep it. |

I don't think splitting the board up by league location is a good idea yet, the community just isn't big enough to split everything up like that, i would like to see a ceaspool in this section like in the cats. But my main point it not to split everything up by league location ie. EU NA AZN AUS

Simple rules: None except for no racist remarks or child porn. Seems simple. Keeps shit tidy. Makes it so breaking the rules is a bad thing because there is an appropriate place to put the shit.

I think we already proposed the cesspool idea. the result was the admins saying it ruins the integrity of the forums

Eventually we'll probably start banning people who aren't here to help the mod and community grow and are specifically here to bitch, whine, and take down other players. This isn't the place for clan wars.

lol lol lol scuzzy i love you but u are taking this shit wayyyyy to friggin seriously people love to fuck around.. if anything i think the cesspool for ff would actually increase your numbers of people checking out this website. In turn.. some percentage of those people who came here to check a funny post out would be people who are going to "help the community grow"

Exo, this area is for clans and players to come and find information, NOT flame each other. The mods(myself included) have had enough of it. It's time to clean it up, and take out the trash(one way or another). If that means banning people, then so be it. Right now, we are working on a restructuring of the area to make it easier to patrol. We are also putting out a warning that it won't be tollerated any longer.
None of us are against "friendly banter". The problem is, it crosses the line in here. You abuse it, you lose it. Period. Better get used to it, cuz that's how it's gonna be.

What if we had a "Flaming" section, where we could just talk all the shit we wanted? That would just be swell.
