Free video editor?

GIMP is to Photoshop as ________ is to ________.

Sorry to bring in SAT analogies here, but I am looking for the GIMP equivalent of a video editor... just as powerful as the $600 or whatever software, but... ya know, free.

I do not give a fuck about ads or shit built in... just want nothing like "WWW.VIDEOEDITOR.COM UNREGISTERED VERSION" jammed at the top of my vids.

Barring that, I might look into buying a good professional program. Suggestions?

hmmmmm.........I wonder if you can edit videos with Googles Picasa. Nothing beats photoshop in my book but the price is #@$#$% insane. Adobe reminds me of Charles Manson except for they havent killed anybody as of yet.

Google Picasa, Free.

It is the second top rated editing software and it is free right now at the moment compared to other reviews via PC World mag. Photoshop is number 1 still but costs quite a bit. Try Picasa I think you will like it.

it is free as well and still not as feature riched as Adobe photoshop but it is not like you are going to be airbrushing full body tatoos off of the backs of porno stars.

but the work around is to edit everything as still photos and then create a flip book with those that you record via a digital video recorder. Simple and easy as I always say.

windows movie maker is the only free one for PCs that i know of... but then i've never looked, really.

I don't advocate illiegalness...but I know a lot of bad people who do bad things download video software such as Adobe Premiere off Bit Torrent. Not that I'm suggesting this at alllllllllll.
