Vrad Compiling Trouble. Give me tips.

So im compiling with just Vrad to see the lighting to test and fix it, except the lighting isnt working. It still comes out looking like when i compile without vis and rad. Is it some kind of error somewhere? There are no leaks. Something to do with props? Alt + p shows no errors. I pasted my compile log into interlopers and it didnt say anything but (# Could not find lights.rad in lights.rad
# Warning: Couldn't open texlight file lights.rad) Im not sure if thats it, nor do i know how to fix it. Any ideas?

Also, explosions are not showing the fire part of them. It only shows the smoke. Sometimes, very infrequently, a fiery explosion does happen. Whats going on? And if i compile with full vis full vrad, the explosions have fire more often and the lighting works perfectly.

post your compile log. Make sure you are running the correct version of the map, the one you just compiled and copied to your maps folder. Make sure mat_fullbright is off.

I could be wrong, but don't you HAVE to run vis to get any results with vrad?

Let me state as well, i have run just vrad and got the results that i wanted. The lighting worked well and compiled in 10 minutes. I dont know what i changed to make it broken.

Oh it was the mat_fullbright 1 problem. It appears i had it on. Not sure why. Stupid me, thx though. I think the explosions are still just doing the smoke though. At doors and decals act strangely with the lighting. They will get brighter or darker depending on how i look at them, or where i move. Also, sometimes decals slightly disappear. Whats going on here?
