QuakeCon 2006!

Just a quick friendly update for you guys, mainly anyone in Texas.

QuakeCon is next week, August 3-6, in Dallas Texas at the Hilton Anatole. Q4F will be making a presentation at QuakeCon, Thursday August 3rd @ 2pm in the Coral Meeting Room. I encourage any TF fans to go, as I will be covering not only Q4F, but the history of TF itself (including TFC). So if your a TF fan, interested in seeing Q4F, or mainly live in Texas and wanna come check it out... everyone is invited.

I hope to see some of you there and look forward to meeting you!

I have not missed a quakecon since 2001. It's like the only time of the year I play Q2 and ET.

yes, actually i'm doing a video diary of the whole trip... which will include the presentation. i'll do what i can to release it on the internet.

I refuse to believe photek is a bhopping crackwhore. He was seriously all "No, Q4F won't have bhopping" back when he first announced it, and we were all like "Dude bhopping is awesome you seriously need it" and then when he came around we were all "Good deal."

actually, if you look at those posts... i state my love for BH. but i was wanting to more simplify it and the learning curve. so the choice was to either get rid of it (which in the beginning was the direction we were heading) or to simplify it (which is what we've actually done). :P

anyway, I'm back from QuakeCon. I should have some videos sometime soon (as soon as i figure out how to rip and compress them :P). I'll let ya guys know as soon as they are up.

Until then, you guys can check out the ETQW Modding Discussion... which i got up to ask a few questions. I'll have more video on that presentation and the more personal "from mods to professionals" discussion panel that was held too.
