Pick me out a Video Card
Alright- so I'm looking around for a cheap, replacement video card that will help me stave off upgrading my entire PC for another year or so (hopefully).
But at the same time, I need a few requirements met:
Any chance you guys can help me out? I'm going to be checking out local stores today or tomorrow, and will post anything I find there for your input. <3 Thanks |

Why not the game is free. I'm gussing you already have it, but if you look a bit more on newegg might find same card but by EVGA with a diffrent game.

I have a 9800GTX/GTX+ myself and it runs like a charm. It looks like the 9800GT only requires 1 6-pin connecter for power which makes your life easier. My card requires 2... Not a big deal, but that's a lot of power for a video card.
Also note, once you go up to the $130+ range you get into the GTS 250 and such: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130513 I would probably recommended one of the big names for a GPU... newegg carries a lot of unknown brands... |

The 8800gt was so popular. U see a lot of peeps spinning them off on local sales like craigslist and such really cheap 50 60 bux. I upgraded to a 285 and now have two of them laying around, gonna build a sli rig to sell.

Reaper, here's another that's cheaper after rebate that also has an HDMI connector instead of the 2nd DVI connector:

I talked them via email. Their support team takes turns replying to each new message you send, so you are constantly getting the same instructions copy and pasted word for word from someone else every other message or you have to constantly reply to posts where the new person took no time to read the previous messages and wants you to explain the situation to him or her, which is odd because they will no longer be on your support ticket once you reply to their fucking questions.
It takes up to a day or two to get a reply between messages. They like to pin everything on your computer or another element of your computer so they don't look bad. This one guy asked for my power supply status, and when I told him I was getting 11.82v on the 12v rail, he acted all worried: "Hm, that does worry me. I believe it may be the power supply." but then when we ruled that out, it was another excuse: "Hm, I firmly believe it is your memory. Can you do a memory test?" then I did that and it came out fine. "Hm, that's odd. I just don't know. Why don't you call us?" Yeah, I can hardly stand them in text. I definitely want to hear them drone on vocally. Yeah right. I told them "Oh, well, it seems this card came damaged on arrival. Unfortunately, I can't ship it back because that means I will be without a computer, which I use for work/study. What could I possibly do?" and they just replied with "I'm sorry but it appears we can't do anything. You must apply for a RMA." so I checked on how to do that. You have to ship the product back on your dime, then wait three days tops for them to inspect the hardware, then up to 14 business days for a replacement — which everyone claims are 'refurbished' — because they go with the least expensive method of shipping regardless of what shipping method you go with. Just have a read through their members support forums. There are complaints everywhere from people receiving visually refurbished products, damaged replacements, doa's after doa's, even people who have spent $100-300 on shipping just trying to get a product that works. The support team knows nothing, they treat you like you know nothing while they ironically know nothing. s'ridiculous! TERRIBLE AS IN FUCKING TERRIBLE. |

idk... it took XFX 2 months to convince them that I had a mad graphics card. Several videos and screenshots later, they kept blaming Vista. They are brain-dead.
I've called EVGA tech suport multiple times and they are AMAZING. Infact, I've called them when I've had problems with other hardware because they actually know how to fix things! |
