I can run L4D at higher settings with the same performance. Excellent.

Doesn't it install them on top of each other i.e. don't you end up with a bit of a mess that way?

There's only been one driver as far as I know, so I genuinely have no idea. I'll know for sure when they update.

I would hope they'd be smarter than that, but who knows?

Anyway... I haven't booted XP since I installed the beta, and I've only restarted twice (both times for Windows Update). I've got ePSXe running now, doing fine. Just been fiddling about, really.

I did have some general slowdown a couple days ago, after downloading like 15 PSX ROMs haha, unpacking and moving them around all at the same time. That, in itself, wasn't really surprising, but it did seem to take a little while longer to recover than I would've liked.

For me? Pretty high.

I'd need a pretty catastrophic failure to make me keep XP at this point.

Biggest Issue thus far: CS3 hates Windows 7 and crashes when the installation program starts. No Photoshop.

Agreed, although I do have it now.

God I hate using it, though. I'm using Paint instead, for the time being.

If you have Photoshop installed on another drive or OS partition, then just run it from there. If theres any problems running it, then run the installation and attempt to install it again on your win7 partition / drive. The installation will fail, but it will install the shared components required to run photshop and then you can run it from the other drive.

Thats how I've got it set up at the moment.

The installation crashes immediately. It doesn't install anything.

Should I assume you've attempted to run the installation in compatibility mode for XP SP2 and/or Vista?

Well... to beat a dead horse with a stick, try it if you haven't.

If that doesn't work, I dunno how to fix that. Sorry =/

COMPATIBILITY MODE AAAAGH.

I'll try it, thanks.

Edit: still insta-crashes.

Running Photoshop from another disk politely informs me that licensing has "stopped working." Registry, probably.

Edit Edit: Running Photoshop from another disk as administrator worked fine. Ridiculous, I say.
