I love it when quotes are taken out of context.

I find it very hard to believe that "Disney" said that Santa was a Disney Character. They more likely told this guy something more along the lines of "We already have a person playing Santa." The article even says this.. "Disney said it had its own Santa at Epcot and Mr Worley was "confusing" the children."

BBC will report on anything that makes America and it's corporations look incredibly bad so no Brits ever pay attention to their own borders. I take it UK is still really sore about getting it's ass handed to them 229 years ago.

You can find the same article on countless other sites. I have no problem believing that someone told this guy that Santa was a Disney character. That may or may not have been Disney's "Official" position but it certainly could have been a park rep heaping on reasons why they did not want this guy walking around dressed like Santa.
Anyway, Disney is not what I'd view as a "gentle corporate citizen"...you really find it that hard to believe that they'd do that? It goes back to the days of Walt as well. |

it realy could have been a rep being an idiot... there was obviously no legal screening for that statement and the one thing we know is that disney has a lot of lawyers on retainer... which makes me doubt that it was a public statement.
however, this should not detract from the fact that disney is a heartless, soul-less, pixar swallowing, CEO kickback recieving, slave driver of indian children who die at their factories overseas making their overpriced merchandise of which the sale of one piece could afford the worker who pumps out 500 of them a day, shelter and a decent meal for his entire family for nearly a month. |
