I just wrote a ridiculously big dev journal about all this stuff. It's fairly rambling and stuff and deals with a lot of the problems facing the mod community and the behaviour of the mod community as a whole. Should be up soon.

Hah I just took a break from scrolling bump maps, dudv maps, render to texture and flying monkeys. Shader programming is bloody hard.

Yeah? Well... I just finished our 4D calculation matrices and quantum theory unification engine.

Fortress Forever... The first mod ever with quantum flag caps. You can capture the flag without being in the enemy base, or even joining the server. You may even capture your own flag at the same time, or after the game is concluded.

Possibly anyway. It's a quantum thing. :)

Fooley watches too much Star Trek. He's our own Chief O'Brien!

You don't even need a flag...

I personally have only looked at hidden so far (coz it seemed different and quirky) because as defrag said, load of mods dont look like they offer the kind of quality that i want.
Natural Selection has impressed me more than any other mod. That game is contiuously improving and evolving.

Well, till they got hacked.

Its more of a rushed game now, ns_ maps are played like co_ maps with less spawn camping. I liked it better when defenses were set up and it seemed like it took forever to get an onos or HA.

I hope NS2 actually gets made, would play the hell out of it too, but not more than FF.

Agreed on both points. Best NS map I ever played lasted 2 hours and actually got down to one hive trying to spawn eith the other 2 dead and only one Onos alive. He killing the NME at the IPs in the secondary base until the Hive was complete and the rest of the aliens spawned. Aliens came back to win.

I think it means it looks like you're shooting it from 3rd person even if you're looking at the Pyro from an angle. It comes out of the nozzle but fires straight away from the camera.

Oooh, ooh, is there gonna be a cool effect on the flame like where you can't see it right outa the nozzle and it slowly becomes for of a fireball? 'Cause that would be cool...

EDIT:

Kinda like that... not the best pic...
