Decompiler

I need a map decompiler program for HL2, I know there is one because when I was at school I followed a link from Snarkpit to one. Unfortunately im still having trouble connecting to the pit, so if someone could link me to one that would be super fantabulous.

PWN.

Im not sure about the mappers here, but map decompilers are bad in a couple ways imo. The obvious reason is decompiling someone elses map, and using it as a base for your own.

Im not saying thats your plan, but some mappers might complain about you using one, thinking this is your motive. I have not heard of one for HL2, so its news to me. Do you remember where you saw the link at Snarkpit? Forums? Main site?

Any ways, is there a specific map your looking to decompile? Do you need to figure out how something was done in it?

Never mind, I managed to get on the Snarkpit last night, there is a great decompiler made by one of the members there. I learned from it that you don't need to fumble around with those retarded boxes and info_ladderdismount stuff, instead just texture a brush with tools/toolsinvisibleladder and it becomes climbable. Thats what they did in de_rats and cs_assault.
