What sized monitor do you game with? - Page 5

Ha ha no Player my old computer was a Dell (800mhz).
I never bought that old dell computer my uncle gave it to me I'd only buy dell if I had money to burn and wanted a comp quick.

A guy at college was selling a HP slimline P4 2.8 for £250, not the best but what can you do when you are desperate and skint.

Yes thats what i thought, but I can remove it all onto a new moby and in a new case at a later date and then no HP.

I have always played better on 640 x 480. I can actually hit things

Plus, i don't see the point in having extraordinarly high and stupid resolutions such as 1600 x 1200 for gaming.

I prefer my games NOT to look like Doom.

Because not everyone cares about how high their scores are in games, and actually want them to look decent.

Just got a new monitor, 20inch widescreen Viewsonic vx2025wm(not my post in link btw, just has some of the better pictures ive seen), Its brilliant, widescreen tfc at 1680x1050 looks amazing. Cant wait to play FF on it

Id definitely recommend it on what ive seen so far, feels so much larger than my 19 inch crt.
Ive been a bit reticient about getting an lcd, as you hear so much about blurring in games etc etc, but ive tried tfc and trackmania(really fast moving race game) and it honestly feels as good, if not better than my crt.
Savastore is where i ordered mine from, its a good 20 quid cheaper than anywhere else. Ordered it saturday night and it came today

You don't need
1600 x 1200 resolution for a game to look good though, a resolution like that is just going over the top.

It's a false assumption that those intentionally running at low resolution and poor graphics (often in an attempt to get more fps) are more interested in their scores than the game's aesthetics.
