Like I said earlier: then why the fuck did he post that in a thread about They Hunger, which, coincidently, also turned into a commercial modification, which, coincidently, also upset a number of people. It blatantly implied They Hunger.

Yup all the models and most of the textures are just that placeholders. To be able to sell this they would have have to license the engine right? Thus he can't use HL2 models as that is not covered in the license agreement.
This will after all be a standalone game, meaning you won't have to own HL2 for it, or am I wrong? Otherwise he wouldn't be able to sell the mod unless Valve gets a piece of the pie. |

Licensing the Source engine would be extremely costly though, certainly not within the price range of a very small-time developer. I reckon it's just going to be a modification you'll have to pay for.
