Unable to play

After taking 2 full minutes of loading after clicking connect to server, I choose a team and click my class, then FF completely freezes. This happens all the time. It's probably because of my crap computer, but if there is any type of solution please help(dont tell me to upgrade comp).

Comp specs:
AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3000+
2.17GHz, 512MB Ram
Radeon 9200 GFX Card

Edit: Fixed. I found out that reason FF was crashing when I chose class was because of my class.cfg(like soldier.cfg), they were corrupted or something.

If I knew anything about computers, I would be more than willing to help you. I would just wait till a dev comes along to give you some advice. Have you tried loading ff_dm? Have you tried loading a local server?
