Can't load filesystem_steam.dll when trying to test map?

Hi, I'm just getting into mapping so I've been experimenting with tutorials in HL2DM and HL2 single player, but I'm encountering a problem...

I open up any map and press F9 to test it with normal vrad and vvis and vbsp but after it compiles and it says loading game I get this:

Error!
---------------------------
Can't load c:\program files\steam\steamapps\stickfigs@netscape.net\half-life 2 deathmatch\bin\filesystem_steam.dll.

---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I don't have filesystem_steam.dll in that directory, so I assume thats the problem. But I don't know how to get that file. Can somebody possibly send it to me through irc/aim? Or if thats not the problem, does anybody know what it is? Thanks.

Small update: I copied the filesystem_steam.dll from my HL2 directory to the hl2dm one, and it didn't give me the compiling error but the game crashed upon starting up. I also re-arranged the games properties for HL2 single player and it compiled and ran fine. This leads me to believe my hl2dm filesystem_steam.dll is messed up.

you need to run the game with which you are trying to run the map. In this case, hl2dm.

i need to have hl2dm running while i compile the map...? but I can run hl2 single player maps fine.

Bugger, sorry, silly post by me. You need to run hl2dm beforehand. Don't need to join a server or anything. I had the same problem.
