Fun Game maps are awesome.
all the classes look spectacular. The timing of concs and rocket jumps are a little hard to get used to but after 2 hours of play it was like second nature. I thought maybe my system might not play it that well but I got a steady 80 fps even in high volume chaos. Abit mobo socket 939 amd 3800+ X2 2 gigs ram 7800gt for those who want to compare. WinXP home It was worth the wait. Can't wait till some skill maps come out. FF a great game with awesome Graphics...Thanks Gents |

Despite all the (technical) problems, I absolutely loved playing every second.
Pyro is awesome. And the new Spy is just too bad ass for words. I... Just... FUCKING AWESOME! |

It feels great all-around; you guys did an amazing job making a mod truly worthy of the Fortress title.
So far, my only complaints are the lack of weapon bounce and the ever-so-slight projectile delay. |

nice
I am very impressed w/ intial release. The one thing that caught my attention when sniping is that when you gib someone, there simply isnt enough gibs. NEED MORE GORE! in tfc I had cl_gibcount maxed.. is there a similar variable here?

cl_gibcount *
be careful though... these gibs dont fuck around like tfc's. cl_gibcount 999 will freeze your computer for a second or two, and will lag you to hell until they all disappear (they are all physics objects) |

playing the standard CTF maps make the game much more fun. Still a few things that need sorting (as above) but overall, really enjoying it so far

I've been having a marathon FF session since this morning, and I am by no means disappointed.
I LOVE the overheating of the HWguy's AC, and the terror that is now the pyro D: The spy's cloaking ability is a godsend for sneaking through wide open fields without getting shot at by snipers, I love it! I do have one question though; it seems that the Demoman's pipebombs are weaker in FF, and testing it (standing on a pipebomb and detonating it in TFC and then in FF), the FF pipebombs do 5 less damage to health as well as armor. I know FF isn't "EXACT REPLICA OF TFC OMG" but I am curious as to why this is! |

Yep, HWG traded his "Oh shit run away" to the pyro.

For a mod that was rushed out the door somewhat to beat the-mod-that-shan't-be-named, I think FF is awesome. I've been playing for 7 hours now on my wee laptop with ~30fps, and I've had a ball. No doubt there's room for improvement, optimization and stability, but for a 1.0 by a team of volunteers scrambling and sacrificing sleep to get this done? It's the win.
Awesome job dev guys, simply stellar. |

Feels like a mix of Q3F and TFC to me, plays more like TFC but kinda looks like Q3F.
My FPS were terrible in action which really meant I couldn't play it properly, plus my config was all over the place! From the times when I did get to play it seems ace, kinda like TFC early days but with actually knowing my way around some maps! |

I totally enjoyed it. Only thing I feel odd is bunny, is it just my less good fps that makes it bit harder? though with scout it seems to be easy.
Good job team. |

First of all i want to thank everyone who has done something for this mod.
What i like I played it a few hours and did really enjoy it. It feels like TFC, but a bit faster, I like the movement, the look, FF runs well on my pc. I played all classes a little bit, i like how the engi can build sgs/dispensers now etc. There were so many Servers on (140) yesterday, so much old clans/players come back. The maps are beautiful, especially well looks very well *lol*. What i dont like The mappool on release could be better, but thats my special taste. I miss a few (ctf) maps i played all the time in tfc(2fort, chimkey, openfire, Schtop, Stowaway(_r), voltage etc) and i miss new maps i can learn. The only one is Aardvark, its very nice. Yeah i know there is DM too, but i dont care about that Bugs The game freezes sometimes. It doesnt Crash, only freeze, 3 from 5 people had this problem. There is an "Error Texture" instead of a Texture (i think), its only where lights are. Had that on Aardvark main ramp. Sometimes there a stripes from the Player models to everywhere. I doesnt affect performance or something, its just confusing. Sometimes the kills are not shown, the scorebores are 0 0 0 ... and it doesnt count FF Points. Later when im at home I will make some screens, so you can see what i mean |
