Good/Bad Ol' Rock2 moments....

But Agret, Don't you hate it when like 3-5 people on your team are constantly gassing thus not letting you snipe,demo,solly,engy,etc in peace without having to get a suit each time? by the time you reach the suit, the guy with the key will probably be in the gas chamber again, ready to gas....
Sure i love gassing, but when i usually want to defend the key or the entrance to the yard, the constantly "BLUE TEAM HAS CAPPED THE FLAG,etc"
or a game of "who can get the suit first", is annoying.

You do know that the suits are not the only ways to survive the gassing, right? You are also safe underwater, in the warden's office, and in the gas chamber itself.

the most annoying thing is the glitch that doesnt let you get a suit...that pisses me off...

2fort is definitely not the best map right now. I'd put it fairly near the bottom. It's just a direct port of TFC's, and isn't very exciting compared to stuff like Well and SD2.

I tend to have the most fun on Dustbowl, Shutdown2 (which is frickin awesome), and FF_DM.

All for their own reasons of course.

yea....i have always hated shutdown in TFC...to the point where i refused to play it...i would leave the server and come back after...


but i really like Shutdown in FF...its awesome...

I know..., i was just saying constant cappage on rock2, is annoying ..
Hey, if im in reds wardens office, and red caps, am i safe?
and the gas chamber isn't really safe if both teams cap at once, or one after another.

Shutdown_2 is one of my favorite maps. Just a cool layout and a 2-part cap system make me have some amazing games on it.

you know thats the objective? having isolated sniperwars is just lame on pubs.

The decrease in bunnyhopping speed will also give the defence slightly more time to re-organise in order to prevent repeat capping as it will reduce the offences speed.

What f-in' server did you play on? Every time I have ever played rock2 it always ends up being a stalemate or near-stalemate. I see maybe 1-2 caps per 30 minute round. >:

The #4|Oneworldon-line ( Human vs bots) server
sometimes, like 70% of the time, my team caps so many times...( they spam teleporters and such :<)


oh and Merv, i know that's the objective(sure to cap, but once your team capped until the cap score was around 300+ i think that's enough) , and sniping being lame on pubs is all about opinion.....

Umm, dude just because i go against bots, doesn't mean they suck...
NEVER underestimate a Bot....
That server has them on moderate, and it's(truth) our teams get our asses handed to us.....
but on a HVB server on Css i played, phew. bot's are even more harder...

Hell, I even have enjoy playing against bots, and I have reasons

(Some are Opinions)
  • They don't accuse you of Hacks,etc.
  • They don't call you names, that is if you don't program them too! :P
  • They are perfect for offline gaming, incase of power downage or poor internet skills/speed.
  • They can be customized to the fullest, if the user has creativity and sense of humor.
  • They are also good for beta testing or practicing before a players arrive.
  • You learn 10% of skill from them, or more.
  • They actually listen to "Medic!" and other commands, unlike some humans.
  • They won't block the spawn door.
  • They are perfect for dummies to test your admin powers on. (imo)
  • They won't teamkill you for stealing their Grenade bags.
