I just bought this on Steam and have been playing it for the past few days non-stop (it was actually rather unhealthy...). I'm almost done with the main quest, but I think that's because I knocked the game down to Very Easy difficulty after getting owned by Super Mutants in DC at level 2. Little did I know you weren't supposed to go there until 6-7.

Now I'm level 10 and I'm going to stop playing the main quest in order to finish up all the other stuff. Although I did get this mod that allows you to continue playing after the main quest is done. Wonder how that will work out.

There's a lot of fun mods for the game. Can't wait for some really good area mods to come out that add whole new areas.

There are few, if any, evil options that don't provoke combat (which usually leads to an entire town hating you) so most evil characters will get that way by random murder more than by quests or dialogue.

Good characters get the pick of the litter with quests and dialogue, until a Speech check fumbles and you're forced into combat.

The good news is... things don't always work out like you might expect. Things like Tenpenny Tower can offer a glimpse of what the Wasteland really is.

lol excellent summary. I just started playing and trying to be "evil" it is always combat, even from the start in the vault with the birthday party and then the tunnel snakes, although faking my G.O.A.T test was cool. Or was that the result of a female player? Over all evil so for is...kind of boring, Even the Sherrif wants to fight at megaton. The only thing to look forward to is perhaps aligning with the Enclave and seeing what possible new quest that entails or seeing the inverse of a group like the regulators and gettign in "good" with slaver. Tenpenny Tower is an excellent example of doing "good" but creating an evil outcome for the future of the towers residence. I do love my "zombie" mask regardless of the outcome.

Are you playing on PC? I think there's a plugin that lets you keep playing after the end.
