2nd GiG is really hard to watch if you don't see every episode, and don't pay very close attention.

I think so as well, but I think that the major cause of that was the subbing group "LMF - Laughing Man Fansubs". I think they "over translated" the dialogue; didn't simplify it enough. Thus there were long long strings of dialogue that just didn't stay on the screen long enough. There were tons of times where I had to rewind it and pause it just to reread dialogue just so I could fully catch it all.
In no way am I saying their subs were bad, just too lengthy. |

I still haven't seen the last 3 or 4 episodes of 2nd gig.
I'm not sure if I liked the first or second series more. I probably shouldn't judge before I've seen the conclusion of the second one though. Bah, anyway the 2nd one had better animation and the plot was a little easier to understand . |

*BUMP* Ow my head!
Ok, I just watched the first 5 (out of 6) episodes of Gunbuster 2 and Lo, It was good. Not the best, but if you liked FLCL it's by the same writer/director/artist/core animation group. The animation LOOKS like FLCL (in space). I can't get the opening themesong out of my head either. Download: http://www.superjer.com/nezumi/gunbuster2opening.zip Unfortunately the 6th episode isn't out yet even in japan, although it's supposed to be out on the 25th. I'm not sure how long it'll take after that to get subbed. On the plus side it hasn't been licensed in America so it's legal to download (and therefore pretty easy to find): http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/486.html GAINAX ftw. |

Dude, FT you misspelled 'Asian'.
Actually, it's fun to say that to people who really do have Azn in their name. |

Who the hell cares if you are AZN? Fuck, it isnt like i go around with account name WHT_Iroxorz or something like that. I get a lot of people who hate white people on there as well so i have to put them in their place by reminding them who would be working in who's coal mine if we werent so nice. And there are people who cant spell Newb(they spell it noob). That place is like an online slum and for some reason i keep going back.

So, um, yeah. I am currently watching "Blood". At first it was kind of slow. Coupled with some guys review I read saying that the current episodes were also slow, in the beginning I started losing interest.
However, after about the first 15 or so episodes, I started loving the series. Its a great view on the story of the vampire. Great show so far. Unfortunately again, the series is not complete and I'll have to wait...wait...wait for it to finish! |

What happened with that Ergo Proxy Japanese cartoon? Does it suck as much as it looked like it would? For some reason it looked like hentai with guns.

for me the animes I thought were worth watching:
Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen and Seisou Hen Berserk (manga is better, far better) Trigun Hellsing Naruto has catchy story but I don't consider it as best ever :F |

The Hellsing manga was good. The parts of the show based on the manga were good (and the first episode is just *WOW* ) but when they started making episodes of the show before the manga came out it got kinda iffy. (I'm pretty sure I'm repeating myself now...)
I also just finished watching Magical Shopping Arcade Amenobashi*. Which was awesome. Some of the funniest humor along with a good serious story and characters that were a lot more engrossing than they could have gotten away with. P.S. I'm going on a GAINAX bent right now. I've seen tons of their stuff from Daicon III to Gunbuster 2, but there's some things in the middle that I'm having trouble finding. Like the original Gunbuster :P So far the only let down has been Evangelion. Now I know I'm repeating myself but it just can't be stated enough how blowful it was in the face of how good it could have been. *"It's a twister!" "The twister brought Jaws!!" |
