Alright, I'll install it. My brother in law has been trying to get me to do it, having cool kids to play with entices me so.

I hadn't played since the old Beta, either. Quite a bit has changed, that's for sure.
It launches well through Steam (Add ddolauncher.exe) for easy out-of-game communication. The in-game voice is pretty good, though. I'm at work (or traveling) from 4:30p to 4:00a M-F, so I'm usually on from 4a to 8a and whenever I have time on the weekends. I could try and become an afternoon person, I guess, so from noon to 4p weekdays.

Sooo, I got sidetracked from DDO, apparently... I'll be playing Dragon Age, as soon as I can pry the game away from my woman. I still really wanna download that and give it a serious try though. I've got that on my to-do list as soon as finals are done. *ties a string around finger*

Company of Heroes and Red Faction: Guerrilla are very good games. I love the destruction factor in RFG. I managed to download a mod that let me use the recontructor for single player, so much profit can result from this.
I was playing CoH Opposing Fronts yesterday, have the game on Steam, it's been a long time since I played a CoH game. I wonder if Tides of Valor is worth it.. Anyway, games that I'm currently focusing on.. Age of Empires II (fuck me nostalgic feeling) Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts. Team Fortress 2 Shockwave .95 Modification for C&C ZH. |

Kenny, I have a friend who is totally hooked to TF2. I liked my Pick Up Games back when they had them every day/weekend, but never got too into Pub play after I quit my TF2 Server Admin Job :-\

It's not my favorite, but I play it occasionally. I usually only play for specific reasons, boredom, a friend is playing, and sometimes to do minor things like letting spies into your spawn, and having engineers do it for you, and getting revenges on people..in their spawn.
Yesterday I played with a friend of mine, he was a spy, and I let him into my spawn. Hilarity ensued, for us, but yeah.. It's kind of boring sometimes.. Last edited by Everything; 12-10-2009 at 07:09 PM. |

This is the best game I have ever played.
This game probably has the best boss fights in any game ever period you're wrong if you disagree.

I guess that depends on how unforgiving you like your games. Levels consist of memorizing the easiest possible route (which generally includes memorizing each enemy types attack patterns) and then getting to the boss in the hopes of learning a little bit more about the boss before dying and then doing it all over again.
Nothing is taught to you in this game except for the very basics. Attacking, using items, etc. Everything else is done through exploration and trial and error.

Are you kidding? I'm no where near geared well enough to even step foot into the Icecrown Citadel raid... the 5 man dungeons I can do no problem though...
Nope, level 80. We might not be able to fight him until after Feb/March though, but we'll be doing it at 80 before Cataclysm comes out. |

That's actually a pretty decent example with the trial and error except mix in some skill based combat (timing plays a big part in it) and RPG style character progression and you've got the game.
Character progression mainly revolves around killing shit. When you kill shit, you get souls. With souls you can buy items, upgrade weapons, or level up. Each time you level up it costs more and more souls. Each level up allows you to put one point in to a stat. When you die, you lose all of your souls. You can recover them by getting to your bloodstain. If you die while you have a bloodstain, you lose all the souls at the previous bloodstain. To make all of that even harder, when you die, you revert to soul form. In soul form you have fewer hit points, so you have to play it even safer. It's a blast though. The game doesn't feel cheap. Bosses are simply hard and, after beating them, you feel like you actually accomplished something. To give an idea of the suspense of a boss fight, I found myself standing up and jumping as I fought a boss. It's just fucking cool stuff.

How much did you buy it for? 59.99 or at a discounted price?
I'm just asking because I'm not necessarily full of money, yeah it's close to Christmas, but... I requested enough games, and the recent things I wanted was Uncharted 2 and Dazzle VCP, which lead to around ~$120, I''m not sure I can throw in Demon Souls. I has a mother. I'm depending on cash in form of presents. |

Oh, it wasn't bought, it was rented. I think it still costs $60 though.
