Ohey yo, anyone can recommend some cool songs/bands/albums? I'm pretty much looking for techno or eurodance like stuff, but I'm also open to new genres, just no heavy metal/ dubstep.

Yeah I found it from listening to some good ole Pomplamoose and Jack Conte and found out about Project RNL who did their own version of the same song.
It's definitely weird music in today's standards, but some of it is really good. Here's another: Very talented musicians. |

Cheers i quite like it, and it reminds me of the band Yes. Old prog rock but its exactly the same approach.
Who would have thought prog rock could be re-invented |

this is cars. it was in the UK top 100 in 1979.
(it happens to be gary numan's birthday) it's been covered a lot, which i wouldn't have thought. 20 years later fear factory had it as a bonus track to their album 'obsolete' which was the first metal album i bought in middle school because my friend was into it and took me to the record store. unfortunately mine did not have the bonus track. numan was in the music video though. the video doesn't make too much sense. i also don't understand why they decided to post-edit the kid's left hand to move slightly at 2:43 he toured ten years after that with NIN presenting it as a metal song which didn't fit. it was also strange seeing NIN play the tambourines i get it stuck in my head sometimes with my friend's wrong version, he would sing the lyrics wrong, which i liked better much of the time the song seems silly to me and doesn't make sense. sometimes i get something out of it intuitively. but because of those things and my history with it i enjoy it |
