I've been avoiding this thread since I wasn't wow'd by the originals design :P
Yours is looking very nice indeed, miles ahead of the original When i'm tired I keep mis-reading the title of the map as ff_midgar and it bugs me to no end Curse the name. |

nice blimp. if you cant get a model i doubt it will be that big of a let down since it looks good enough already. sure, it looks like a led zeppelin, but it stilll goes nicely with the texture theme of the rest.

Ive been waiting to get back at u for quite some time now
And ive held off until u started to roll with this idea even more... I honestly hate it. Yea the blimp would be cool if it were a lot higher up and a little smaller and it flew around instead of it just staying stationary. But with the removal of the platform that you had, I just dont like it. U were originally going to make it so the water was like boiling hot so it burnt you until you got back onto the platform. But the aspect of the platform above death is gone now. I really liked the way you had it before and if u just added the blimp instead of replacing. If you went with another name I would understand. Maby ff_arena or something, idk but it just dosent feel like a midair map. Maby im not the one to talk. Just thought I would give ya some feedback

not bad, not bad at all. a couple of suggestions/questions..
i think you should rename the map. make it unique. i dislike the fact theres about 10 different midair named maps in tfc. i understand that the original midair2_r2 was the inspiration behind this map but it's really nothing like the original (which tbf was just a platform with spawns). i'm not particularly fond of the blimp idea, but we haven't seen it integrated into the actual map yet. also, and i know this deviates from the original midair maps, i'd like that once you fall off the platform you not be instantly killed but rather teleported to the middle of the platform in mid-air. maybe just above the intersection of the 4 curved beams. this would allow the opposition player a chance at an airshot. i feel these maps play better when the focus is on dming and airshots, not avoiding falling off the edges. oh, and does the airshot meter actually work, and if so, how does it calculate what shots to count? |
