I would be willing to idle Qnet (I already do for the beta channel) and manage the pickups there...we could potentially have 2 networks going. The only problem is that we would need server admins willing to give out their server rcon so that it can be managed via HLSW b/c I wouldn't be playing in a EU game.

I know there are active EU players who would be interested and it wouldn't be too hard to have 2 bots running. I can run one like i did when you were gone Squeek as I think I have pretty much figured out your code and we have found *most* of the major bugs that kill the bot.

It's mainly just a matter of getting together and talking and seeing if there really is a good enough player base to get pickups going.

I think it would be worthwhile to have qnet #ff.pickup ready for action when 2.0 launches, even if there is little interest right now. The only problem is that we can't get control of the channel right now, and we can't find the owner.

Also, could you either PM me on here or talk to me on IRC about any bugs with the bot so that I can fix them? I've done some major work on it, and have implemented many new commands, so they might have been fixed in the process.
