Then you aren't the person I assumed you were. Even though you have identical names, even capitalized letters. cOmPaCt.

So after drinking 15 beers and reading all of this thread over, I have come to the conclusion that tu! is the same guy who posts about "Bunny-hopping", "Grenades", "Spammers", "Rocket-Jumping", and every other related issue on EVERY forum from Q3F, TFC, ETF, and he now stalks us on FF and all the latest TF2 boards.
Seriously, you remove the grenades, then you have to change the balance of every class and every weapon to make this a legitimate "Fortress" game. Think about all the players who downloaded ETF only to have their asses handed to them with multiple aspects of the game like the above mentioned. Now if you make a unique "Fortress" game that any noob can play whether it be PC or Console, then you might have a very popular game. It might not be popular for some of us, but think about this generation of gamers growing up today |

It's quite simple actually, before it was intentionally coded in and implemented officially in Fortress games such as FF, bunnyhopping was an exploit (use of a bug of the engine) that gave unfair advantage to people who used it, just as people skywalk in CS (exploiting a bug of the map), etc..
It's the same thing with rocket jumping. Etc.. The fact there still is a lot of disagreement about this is that in TFC there was never a moment where Valve said "ok there is this new thing now that is called bunnyhopping, here's how to do it. it's official now. do it.". It remained a bug that they merely limited by capping, so as to not make people who liked to use it discontent and try to calm people who took it as cheating and were tired of seeing people racing past them without being able to do anything which didn't involve exploiting a bug (technically, cheating) too. There's no need to be close minded on either side of the fence, the fact is that it is an exploit that was considered fun and functional, so people picked it up and it slowly progressed into the realm of feature. In TFC not everyone agreed with this and you have some servers with anti bhop plugins. More power to them. A problem now is that some people probably won't accept that FF officially implemented bunnyhopping as a feature, and there will surely be some servers with anti bhop plugins. As much as this is understandable this will only confuse new players, but there's pretty much nothing that can be done about it. |

Well bunny hopping could be listed as a feature of the mod upon release or in an "about" page so they won't have any excuse |

except when they are rocket-propelled, in which case they should be rocket-propelles directly at the nearest enemies face.

It's kinda funny how we've had an influx of Bhoppers lately that are just trying to get banned, it's a shame they'll miss out when FF is released. Scuzzy

Well, I at least like the fact that the o-t members are talkative. I haven't been in an o-t server but a couple of times, but I just hate those people that never say anything and are just mindlessly into the game.
