i mean the teleport exit is going to be fsuspended quite high up in the air with a cushioned landing, like into a pond or something. so instead of defenders keeping back attackers who charge out of a gate, the attackers will be falling from the sky from a portal. gameplay wise this means they wont really be able to be spammed in - but theyll still have a difficult time staying alive, as sentries will be tracking them as soon as they teleport, and they wont know where the defenders are. of course, if you pile enough people through at the same time you cant all be shot out of the air, but youll still get spammed when you hit the ground! the key will be accurate firing as you are falling through the air getting shot at. i think itll be lots of fun.

Yeah and you could have multiple Teleporters so the D cant pin them down 2 easy. Dustbowl is bad enough with two exits side by side just one would be a nightmare.

the Thing looks amazingly fantastically awesomeness by the way.

Map name ideas ff_portal or ff_xentech or ff_ion

using this as a working title for the minute, thanks Own3r, if i use it youll be creditted!

yeah i still have to do a skybox, need to finalise the rest of the outisde areas first.

theres a statue model with HL2, but its from a tombstone and wouldnt fit in. if anyone has/ can make me a decent statue itll definately be used.

Those odd and ancient shapes make the map really stand out. And the name fits it too. Still needs a "badass skybox" as Circ said.

Yeah i got that statue with HL2 as well, a big bronze horse doesnt really fit in with what i got tho :-/

remember high_security?

theres still leaks so ive not bothered checking showbudget, and ive not blocked the areas between bases yet, so atm you can pretty much see everything all the time.
