I would go for a weaker PC. Mainly because you don't have to worry about cooling and cards. Using a mobo with built-in graphics will make it easier. Using something like an atom processor which can be cooled without a fan would be awesome. Also, you want a flip-up optical drive. I don't know if they still make them... you might need to hack one together. Cutting holes in the case removed the illusion.
